SB 721


Over the past 2 years JAD Construction, in collaboration with structural engineers and local vendors, has devised a system to meet the new SB 721 law access requirements. Our system not only allows inspection access but also improves the longterm structural health of those exterior elevated elements being inspected. If you need any help in determining how to comply with SB 721 or just have questions about the new requirements, don't hesitate to contact us.


Who can inspect the EEE?

A licensed architect, licensed civil or structural engineer, or a building contractor holding any or all the "A," "B," or "C-5" license.


When does EEE need to be inspected by?

The first inspection must be completed prior to January 1, 2026 and then every six years thereafter.

When do I need to perform repairs?

Inspections that reveal conditions that pose an immediate hazard to the safety of the occupants need to be shored immediately.
